Police Protection: (402) 352 - 2415 (non-emergencies)

The Schuyler City Police Department consists of eight full-time officers and two support personnel. Additional police services are provided by Troop B, Nebraska State Patrol, based in Norfolk, Nebraska. The Colfax County Sheriff's Department has six deputies and three support personnel.

Fire Protection:

The City of Schuyler is served by a Volunteer Fire Department of 38 members and six cadets. There is one fire station and 226 fire hydrants in Schuyler.

Rescue Squad:

The Schuyler Rescue Squad has eight trained and certified Emergency Medical Technicians. These volunteers provide 24-hour ambulance service in Schuyler and the surrounding area.

911 service is provided by Colfax County Communications Department.
